ABOUT LELAND HONEYMAN JR

Leland Honeyman Jr is a 17 year old ARCA Menards Series Driver for Young's Motorsports. Leland was born in Phoenix, Arizona February 23, 2005. He started racing when he was 4 years old in Off Road Trophy Karts for 3 years competing in the Lucas Oil and Whiplash series. He moved to Go Karts when he was just 7 Years Old, by the time Leland was 10 years old he advanced his way into oval track racing. He started racing Bandoleros after 2 years Leland had accomplished 5 Track Championships, 1 State Championship and 1 National Championship. Leland and his dad figured that he was ready for Legend Cars, by the time Lelands raced his second ever Legend Car race he won it! Leland then advanced to Full Body Stock Cars (Limited Late model) by the age of 13, after getting tons of top 5's and top 10's it was time for Pro Late models, by the age of 16 Leland raced in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series. He had multiple Poles and top 5's, Leland said it was finally time for a win in the Pro Late Model Series, closing off the year with a win at Historical Hickory Motor Speedway for the famous FALL BRAWL RACE. Leland and his development team decided Leland was ready for something bigger. He moved out of Pro Late Models into the ARCA Menards Series East. As of 2 Races Leland has gotten one 4th place and one 2nd place after taking the Pole for the Pensacola 200! Lelands next race is at Dover International Speedway April 29th.
